Hi there, I’m sure by all of the blurbs on this site you already have a general idea of who I am, but I’m still going to tell you about myself. My name is Rachel Huber and I am from San Antonio, Texas, for as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with any and all things fashion. Growing up I was constantly enamored by clothing, and shoes, and just the way an outfit can transform the way you feel. As I got older this admiration only grew, and once it was time to consider a path for college, I actually knew exactly what I wanted to do. So I went to Texas State University and got my degree in Fashion Merchandising. During my time there I learned a lot about the field and was able to experience so many different parts of fashion. In 2015 I was able to walk in a couple of shows in San Antonio Fashion Week, modeling was something I always wanted to do and to finally have that opportunity was amazing. Those two shows opened a few doors and many followed after I walked in three more shows in 2016. Through the shows and photoshoots I have been able to gain insight into the creative side of fashion, the side that brings concepts to life and creates the background of a story told through fashion. I have been able to see so many parts of the industry, from my time at Nordstrom, learning about how the retail environment works and all the moving parts, to my time with Natalie Martin, learning about logistics and how to handle wholesale orders to what it take to create a product from start to finish, concept to sample to full product line. Each time I learn something new I fall more in love with the industry than before, clothing empowers people, it helps them express themselves in ways words can’t, it provides confidence that isn’t always there. Fashion is art, it’s expression, and it’s power and I want more than anything to be part of the industry that brings that to life.

Sales Associate | Nordstrom Rack

I have worked at Nordstrom since 2016 and it is easily one of my favorite places I have worked. I have learned so much form my time at Nordstrom and I can’t wait to apply it to my work in the future.

Operations Assistant | Natalie Martin Collection

I was a operations assistant for Natalie Martin collection in Los Angeles. I was able to gain insight into parts of the fashion industry I had not yet been able to experience. It was a game changing opportunity and I was able to learn so much.
